Here it comes!
March 23rd, 24th, 25th could be the best three days of your life, but you have to show up to have fun. Three of the best events all year right in a row. First is The World Quarters an event that defines the word “open”: any rider, international pro or random kid from Jersey, is free to drop in and compete. The mayhem is set to unfold on Monday March 23rd at Timber Ridge.
Then on Tuesday March 24th, 2009 we will celebrate the first ever Back to the Boneyard, a team themed contest that invites east coast snowboarders young and old to not only compete for amazing prizes, but also help raise money for kids in the Waterville Academy Snowboard program. The day boasts to be a creative and fun contest but also a reunion of sorts, which will give people a reason to get the day off

Method to the madness
The Method Air: It's the grab to-end-all snowboard grabs, and the most classic and style-infused trick in the sport. Since no two riders "method" alike, they become quite a personal maneuver and a style barometer of sorts. That being said there are two main types of method grabs:
Northwest: Your front hand grabs your heel edge behind your leading leg in between the bindings. There's traditionally more of a body turn to show off that flat base, than a tweak. For the full experience, the Northwest Method must be done sans gloves á la Jamie Lynn.
Euro: Your front hand grabs your heel edge just in front of your leading leg with as much tweak as possible thrown into it; also known as the "grasser" or "nethod." Think Terje Haakonsen and go for full extension horizontally.
Back in the good ol' days, some riders were accused of making a career of doing Methods. Is this supposed to be an insult? It sounds like a hell of a living to me... These days it's perfectly acceptable to move to Whistler, BC, and do nothing with your life except sweet, sweet Methods until you're 40 years old. But you can't do jack shit without a snowboard so get down to EB and pick up a sweet new ride for short money. All boards sold at EB include one free method! (methods must redeemed by 05/01/09). -SPK

Three days of mayhem
So March 23rd, 24th, 25th could be the best three days of your life, but you have to show up to have fun. Three of the best events all year right in a row. First is The World Quarters an event that defines the word “open”: any rider, international pro or random kid from Jersey, is free to drop in and compete. There are no VIP tents, no media credentials, no invitation lists and no bag searches to worry about. The mayhem is set to unfold on Monday March 23rd at Timber Ridge. Will Kevin Casillo or Shane Flood make an appearance to try to reclaim their fame of years past? Will the Magic Mountain Motel allow us back as patrons? We’ll see.
Then on Tuesday March 24th, 2009 we will celebrate the first ever Back to the Boneyard, a team themed contest that invites east coast snowboarders young and old to not only compete for amazing prizes, but also help raise money for kids in the Waterville Academy Snowboard program. The day boasts to be a creative and fun contest but also a reunion of sorts, which will give people a reason to get the day off.
The 9th Annual Last Call is Wednesday March 25th at Loon Mountain in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. After a week of destruction and mayhem Last Call Caps off the contest season with the most destructive and bad ass snowboard contest of the year. Local Heros and Big Time Pros all come pay their dues at Last Call.
This year Last Call will have the Biggest Cash Purse Yet, with a meaty $5,000 in USD and tons of prizes for best tricks, best falls, and best bests. Past Last Call Riders have gone on to super stardom, like Chas Guildemond and Scotty Stevens. Plus Eastern Boarder rippers Shane Flood and Chris Carr have used Last Call as their jump to fame.
Space is limited to the first 80 competitors, so arrive early to guarantee you spot. Sign ups are usually at the deli at Loon Mountain (100ft up from the gondola entrance). Make sure you have a parent signature if you are under 18. BBQ lunch at the snowshack. After Party will be somewhere in Lincoln so plan on staying up there for at least a night.
