The Time Machine

What a discovery. While online recently, checking out the latest weather conditions up North, I inadvertently stumbled upon a way to actually get a look across time & into the future by harnessing the computing power of the Internet. To demonstrate this amazing & groundbreaking new technology, let's use EB Worcester skater Jared Nylen as an example, and take a look at how he will hold up after 20 more years of Wonton soup, Dunkin' Donuts and hard living... -TEO

Blogging from around the world

Well I'm off on vacation. I had to buy a new card for my camera so I figured I'd blog it from the road, even though I'm at the Best Buy next to EB. I'm still on vacation damit.

Banana Bonanza

I feel like bananas are hot right now. They're the new in thing. Like 80's style sunglasses or "going green" .Bananas must have hired a publicist or something. I don't like to be left out when it comes to trends so I'm jumping on the banana bandwagon.
Check out my skate banana made with real banana inspired technology. It has a super small carbon footprint! Actually its toxic as hell, but I bought tons of carbon credits to make up for it so its ok. If you skate this thing with frogskins on, your as style n' as it gets . -SPK

Bananarific!

Don't forget "low carbon footprint"

TC understands, its all going bananas

Stratton... Tyler Stratton

Well, the word is out. Following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, Roger Moore & Pierce Brosnan could the next in line to play world famous secret agent & man of mystery James Bond could be Worcester's very own Tyler Stratton? Check out these leaked test shots... we think he's a sure bet to be the next 007!

1st day @ Killington

This past monday I went to Killington with my friend Manny. Though conditions were suprisingly good. If you can handle the $60 and the 3 hour drive I suggest going. As always they had the mini park going with the signature right handed hip. After that you had an option of an up flat bar or a 20 foot kicker. After that it was a box option, and then a 3 rail option into either a propaine tank or wall ride. At the end of the day we went to pizza jerks for the lunch special and then were off. -Bryan B.

EVERYTHING IS ON SALE !

07' so far has been a big year for skate videos and habitat's new INHABITANTS is definetly one worth grabbing. New pro Silas Baxter Neil starts things off with a solid part, style for days and wallride hippyjumps. Danny Garcia has been around forever and managed to put down his acustic guitar long enough to film a part proving hes still got one of the best styles in the biz. Fred gall is as urban as ever and doesent disappoint. Guru Khalsa keeps his hair tight in competition worthy buns at all times. If u havent heard of Austyn Gillette before were in the same boat but hes got a bangin' part. Steve Durrante switch heel front blunt, nuff' said. Tim O' Connor has the most ridiculous tricks ever and shares a part with Ed Selego and there both keepin these young guns on thier toes. Raymond Molinar is really good at skating, flip in-flip out, now hes pro, well deserved. Kerry Getz is still a robot and opens his part with some refreshing mini-ramp footy that all of us never get sick of for some reason. And if you think you got your fill of Stefan Janoski from nothing but the truth then you are epic'ly mistaken compadre.
Come to Eastern Boarder Wormtown and buy it-stocking stuffer approved.

The only reason to vist Walmart.com

Target may have Hoffman and S.White but Walmart has Webster Jake. Who knew Jake was pulling down Walmart money.
Check out the before and after pics I guess all the practice on that 1080 rail paid off!

Sorry Jake, but the world had to know

Ever watch Airwolf ?

Well I did. I case you you missed it Airwolf was a cheesy 80's TV show about a top secret government helicopter, kind of like Knight Rider but in the air. Anyway it really made me want to fly helicopters. So finally years later I'm doing it. Heres some pics of my first helicopter lesson. It was sick. Stringfellow Hawk out.

File This Under "Abrasive"

Well it's finally happened, the Worcester shop's trusty & time-worn old griptape file has now officially been retired. In the 15 years that EB Worcester has been open, it was only the second griptape file to be used down here. It had been in constant use at the shop every day, gripping board after board for something like 10 years. That file has been involved in skateboarding for longer than many of you reading this! Who knows how many thousands of boards it has been used to setup over its' long and illustrious "career". In that time it has gone from a new shiny file to something that more resembles some sort of warn down, prisonyard weapon. As you can see, time has clearly taken its' toll on it. Whenever someone was in the shop complaining about how their new skate shoes had gotten a hole in them after only a month or 2 of use, I always liked to bust out the file to show to them. "If griptape can do this to a steel file, well then it's no wonder that it's going to put some wear on your shoes... now check out some Shoe Goo." Anyway, file #3 is now officially on duty in Worcester, and here's hoping that we get as much use out of it as we did from the one that it is replacing... -TEO

It's not THAT cold out yet

Well it's now the middle of November, and I am happy to say that I am STILL rocking the shorts & flip-flops. Yes the streak is still alive (except for 1 day there when it was like 30 degrees out or something). And I plan on sticking with it until the snow starts falling. Some people ask why I am rocking the flops, since you can't even skate in them. Well to those people, I would like to say 2 things:

1) My ACL is still messed up in my knee, so I won't be doing much skating 'til that gets fixed anyway

2) Who says you can't skate in flip-flops? Check out this shot from ForTheKrew Magazine of Benji Galloway from the Kona Skatepark 30th Birthday Party... -TEO

Car Jumps Are Cool

If you dug Ken Block's snowboard park DC rally car jump, you are sure to dig this one. Take a 1970's pimp-mobile Lincoln, paint it bright yellow, add on some little wings, attatch a huge jet engine to the back and attempt to launch it off of what looks like a giant car-sized mega ramp over a river. Oh yeah, you know that's going to turn out bad...

Watch that thing pretty much disintegrate on takeoff!!

Or how about this classic, straight out of Wormtown...

EB Halloween Party !

EB parties always mean game on, this year it was literal. If you stayed home to watch the Sox you missed out because we watched the game and partied down. With $1 Narragansett it was hard not to.
