Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!!
As you well know, the weather around here lately has been kind of windy, icy & a bit raw. Not at all the most favorable conditions for a nightime trip around the world in an open sleigh. Jolly old Saint Nick is wise enough to know this; he made a surprise visit to EB Worcester today to pick up some of the latest in ocular protection from Anon...Also, be sure to take a look at the nice 6-ft mega-wreath adorning the binding display up in the front of the shop. Girls Camp
The brainchild of Waterville Valley team rider, Colleen Quigley, The Ladies Room is an all girls snowboard camp for ages 8+. This unique camp features coaching from top female professional snowboarders, that include Hana Beaman, Jacqui Berg, Desiree Melancon, Iris Lazz and a special guest to be named later. The Ladies Room will cater to all levels of female snowboarders with a focus on terrain park riding. Whether you are learning how to approach a double barrel rail or dialing a frontside 180 off a medium-sized tabletop jump, The Ladies Room will teach you all you need to know.
The two-day price will be $235 and includes all day coaching, breakfast, lunch, prize packs and giveaways from sponsors: Burton Snowboards, EasternBoarder, Nikita, Snowboarder Mag, Oakley, Dakine, Red Bull, Air Blaster, A.S.S Industries and Zinka . This camp isn’t all about riding, you also get the pure satisfaction and bragging rights that you got to ride and hang with five of the most progressive female snowboarders in the world.
There will also be a one-day camp option for either Saturday or Sunday costing $150. Spots for the one-day camp will be limited. Discounted lift tickets available at registration for non season pass holders.

Mr. Pickle is angry again... now he feels he's being exploited in the name of cool snowboard technology. The new Gnu Park Pickle was unveiled at the North American sales meeting for Gnu Snowboards. The Patent Pending Proprietary Park Pickle Product will be included in the 09/10 Gnu Snowboard line. Based on the idea that heelside turns require more leverage than toeside turns, the Park Pick will have a deeper sidecut on the heelside. The board is a true twin shape with a centered stance so it can be ridden with either goofy or regular and includes Mervin Mfg’s exclusive use of Banana Technology.

No we are not closing.....
Some of you may have noticed the absences of a certain big yellow dot today, not to worry your beloved EasternBoarder is not closing or moving. We just decided to get our sign fixed. It's going to be gone for a few days but its still business as usual down here and with VT getting 3-6 inches of snow last night now is a great time to stop down and grab some new snow gear! -SPK
