Happy New Years

EB Worcester will closing at 5pm on new years eve to party hearty ringing in the new year. We will be closed Friday New Years Day. We'll be back in action on Saturday 10am-8pm.

This past year has been a big one for the Worcester shop Teo and I both became fathers, we had another awesome KOTW, Jon Aqua started making moves becoming the Adio shoe rep, and we ended a 13 year run over on West Boylston St and started a whole new chapter over here at 358 Shrewsbury St. While so many things are changing there are still a few important ones that are and always will be the same, we love going to work everyday, all of our friends from the past 20 years are still coming in, we're always stoking out new people, we'll always find time to go skate with you in the parking lot, we'll still bust our ass to tune your board on the spot cause your "on the way to the mountain", half of us are still hung over half of the time, we still get really stoked when it snows, we all skate or ride, we have super friendly personalized customer service, and thats why we've always been and will always be the best skateboard and snowboard shop in Worcester. It's Snowing!

I woke up this morning and thought I was dreaming! I'm so stoked to see some real snow! Wachusett Mountain is open with 5 inches of fresh snow. Bryan and Ryan are up at Okemo Mountain where they are getting up to a foot on new snow by days end. Tom and I are manning the store so stop on down and get all the gear you need to get out and enjoy this SNOW. -SPK

$25 Today will save you a ton of troubles and headaches in the future. The Lockup Service at the Mountain is very good, but the line is usually too long, especially if you are just going inside to get a snack or look for people. Just snap a lock on a rack, and when you need it, lock up your stuff. Also stash a #3 Screwdriver in the woods incase you need to tighten up your whip. Get ready for more snow.

Mike V. Up To His Old Tricks

Mike Vallely went to a fight & a hockey game broke out!



Mike Vallely was arrested and cited for “fighting in public” while at a Ducks hockey game at the Honda Center on Thursday night, and then today The Ducks officially severed promotional ties with the former pro skater, according to a story in the OC Register.

The incident occurred during the ‘three stars of the game’ presentation after the Ducks defeated Tampa Bay, 4-3, in overtime. Ducks captain Scott Niedermayer, the No.1 star of the game, skated out to the ice and went to hand his stick to a girl in the stands. . . Martinez said those who were interviewed in and around the area said that another man attempted to grab the stick from the girl when Vallely, who Martinez said had indicated that the stick was intended for his daughter, intervened (Vallely has two daughters, according to several Web sites).

For those of you that did not know, Eastern Boarder Worcester empoylee Jon aquafresca got a job working as a sales rep for Adio Footwear. Its always refreshing to talk to a rep that is not only a nice guy and knows what he is talking about, but could also beat you in s.k.a.t.e. and anyone thats skated a mini-ramp with aqua knows what im talking about.
