JB Vs. Armorlight

If you have been checking out the Worcester shop blog recently, you might have noticed the poll that we had on here for guessing how many decks EB Worcester team rider Jared Bratko would break in the month of May (NOTE: I think that it turned out to be like 7 or 8). JB is kind of a big dude, and always skates all out, so he ends up snapping decks quite a bit. (VIEW IT)

I kept on telling him to try out one of the Armorlight decks from Darkstar, that is reinforced with a layer of carbon composite material to make it stronger, but he wanted nothing to do with it... and of course he kept on snapping decks. Finally I gave a call to Ken from Darkstar, explained the situation, and he agreed to hook JB up with an Armorlight deck to try out & as a good test of the durability of these boards. JB was skeptical at first, but after the first few days of skating it, he was pretty impressed with how it was holding up. He said that it was able to withstand a few hard landings that he knew would have blown some other decks apart, and seemed to hold its' pop. All in all, he ended up getting like 2 or 3 weeks out of the board... far longer than he had been getting from most of the other ones he had been riding. A pretty good showing for the Armorlight! A random shot of J-Biggie getting wild on the back of Aquafresca's car... SICK!
